Financial crime

The Joint Financial Crimes Unit's (JFCU) main purpose is to combat economic crime, including fraud, money laudering and terrorist financing.

 The JFCU has three functions:

1. The Island's Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU),

2. Financial Crime Investigations, and

3. Asset Recovery

The FIU maintains a comprehensive financial intelligence regime based on strong cooperation with local and international partner agencies and Jersey’s financial institutions.

Much of the JFCU’s work relates to the proceeds of crime committed in other jurisdictions but we also target local criminality, particularly by identifying and confiscating the financial proceeds of drug trafficking.

Contact details

We are always keen to offer advice and to answer queries, and are willing to meet face to face if this assists.

The JFCU is staffed during office hours, 08:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday. You can contact us by telephone on +44 (0) 1534 612250 or email JFCUAdmin@jersey.pnn.police.uk
