The States of Jersey Police work closely with many community based projects and organisations. These include The Honorary Police, Crimestoppers, Prison! Me! No Way!, The Youth Action Team (YAT), People Against Crime and Victim Support

The Honorary Police

As well as around 270 paid Police Officers, who make up the States of Jersey Police,  the Island of Jersey also has an Honorary Police system. Each of the 12 parishes has an Honorary Police force, which has unpaid, volunteer members, who are either Vingteniers, Centeniers or Constable’s Officers.

Prison! Me! No Way!

“Prison! Me? No Way!” is a charity which works in partnership with States of Jersey Police to spread the anti crime message amongst youngsters in Jersey and show them that crime doesn’t pay.

The Youth Action Team (YAT)

ONE of the most recent initiatives in Jersey which aims to make a difference to young people and has involved the community is the creation of the Youth Action Team.

Victim Support

Victim Support Jersey helps people in Jersey cope with the effects of crime. We do this by providing confidential support and information to victims of crime and to witnesses attending local courts.

Our services are free, independent of the police and courts, and available to everyone, whether or not the crime has been reported and regardless of when it happened.

People Against Crime

People Against Crime is a local organisation made up of representatives from organisations who are committed to reducing crime in Jersey. The organisation work closely with the Crime Reduction Department at States of Jersey Police.
