Man arrested and charged following long-term operatin by Drugs Squad officers

RELEASED TO MEDIA AT 9:25 AM ON THURSDAY 27 AUGUST 2009

Following a long term intelligence led operation, officers of the States of Jersey Police Drugs Squad arrested a male resident of St Helier during the course of Monday morning, 25th August 2009.

Seized during the course of that arrest was a quantity of ‘Skunk’ Cannabis with a maximum potential street value of £20,000 and several hundred Ecstasy tablets with a maximum potential street value in excess of £3,500.

Consequently;

34 years old Kevin Philip Patrick MOONEY a resident of St Helier has been charged with Drugs Trafficking Offences in connection with possession of the Class A & B drugs with intent to supply.

He has been remanded in custody for his appearance before the Magistrate on   Thursday 27th August 2009.
