Man charged with alleged breaches of data protection law

RELEASED TO MEDIA AT 17:25 ON WEDNESDAY 8 JULY

THE States of Jersey Police can confirm that a 44 year old man attended Police Headquarters just after 5 pm by invitation this evening to be charged with offences arising from a recent police investigation into allegations of breaches of the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2005.

This evening, (Wednesday 08 July), Stuart Syvret, of Grouville, (DOB 30 July 1964) attended Police HQ where he was charged by Centenier Dix of Grouville with the following offences:

He was released on a warning to attend the Magistrate's Court at 10 am on Thursday 16 July 2009.
