Details of man who died in Jersey following RTC in Rennes, France

THE States of Jersey Police can confirm that a man injured in an RTC in Rennes, France, approximately five weeks ago has died in Jersey at the General Hospital.

Michael Jeffery COTTERILL, a 60 year old resident of Grouville, died on Wednesday 2 September.

In addition to a file being prepared for the Deputy Viscount, The States of Jersey Police will liaise with the French authorities and assist their investigations into this tragic sequence of events.

The French investigation is being led by Madame Corre, an examining magistrate. CID in Jersey will now work with her in order to advance the enquiries.

The family of Mr Cotterill have asked that their privacy is respected by the media, at this difficult time.
