Charges follow drugs arrest and long term operation

Following a long term intelligence led operation officers of the Drugs Squad arrested a male resident of St Helier during the course of Wednesday morning 13th January 2010.

Amongst items seized during and subsequent to that arrest were approximately 6000 BZP tablets, a commercial quantity of Cocaine and Cannabis with a potential street value of approximately £75,000 and a quantity of cash.

Consequently;

32 years old Tony SPINOLA has been charged with Drugs Trafficking Offences in connection with possession of the Class A , B & C drugs with intent to supply.

He has been remanded in custody for his appearance before the Magistrate on Friday 15th January 2010.

The States of Jersey Police remains focussed on Making Jersey Safer which includes the targeting of not only the serious and organised crime groups whom are drawn to the island by its small but lucrative drugs market, but also the street level drug dealers whose operations we seek to dismantle and their criminal assets seize.
