Robbery allegation thought to be unsubstantiated

Robbery allegation – Trinity – Friday 8th January 2010

Further to the previous releases on this subject and following Police investigation, it has now been shown that the allegation of robbery is unsubstantiated.

The States of Jersey Police will be submitting a file to the Office of The Attorney General for consideration of the offence of ‘wasting police time’.

It will therefore be appreciated that no further comment can be made at this time.

It is however very important from a public reassurance perspective that this message be released.
